Siele
SIELE is the Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española
which certifies electronically the command of the Spanish language proficiency for students and professionals.
Is promoted by the Instituto Cervantes, the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, the Universidad de Salamanca and the Universidad de Buenos Aires. These institutions guarantee the standards for quality and good practices in the creation of the tests and the use of diverse linguistic varieties in the Hispanic world.
The Hispanic Institute of Utah and SIELE certifies the degree of proficiency for the Spanish language with four tests:
– Reading Comprehension
– Listening Comprehension.
– Written Expression and Interaction
– Spoken Expression and Interaction
The exam also takes as a reference the levels established by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Preparation course
Objectives
- You will easily navigate through the four SIELE Global tests and you will know how the platform tools work;
- You will know the structure, content and instructions of the four tests;
- You will be able to use appropriate strategies for each of the test tasks;
- Understand the scoring criteria for the EIE and EIO tests;
- You will have practiced performing the four tests with completely new models.
Contents
The course is made up of eight modules, two per test. For each of the tests, you will perform…
- a preparation module, made up of videos and interactive activities, in which the operation of the test is explained and strategies are presented and practiced so that you can optimize your results in the exam;
- a practice module, which consists of a complete test that you can take in conditions similar to those on the day of the exam.
